Banner Rd Gravel Pit Application roadmap-080225
There are two distinct levels (1) above – Planning Process under the Planning Act and (2) below - License Application Process Under the Aggregate Resources Act.
This is a copy of the flow chart that outlines the process under both pieces of legislation. Each process runs separately, but are tied together at the end. For example, Planning will not recommend that the by-law be passed if the Ministry is not in a position to issue the license, and further the MNR requires that the zoning be in place before the recommendation is made to the Minister to issue the license.
Also, please note that within Zorra, it is typical that the Public Meeting listed in the planning section and the Public Information Session listed in the aggregates resources section are conducted on the same night, with the Public Information Session under the ARA being held 1st and the Public Meeting under the Planning Act being held immediately after.

If you are concerned about the Banner Road gravel Pit, please think about using one of the forms below to contact Provincial Ministers who can have an impact on the final decision.
Our committee has created a form letter to be forwarded to the Ministers of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Natural Resources, Environment and Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
If emailing to the four ministries use the MS Word (.doc) version:
Note: Add your signature and address (very important).
If you plan to mail your letters, please use the Adobe (.pdf) version of the letter, print copies and be sure to fill in your name and address before mailing.
Don't forget to copy other provincial/municipal/county representatives listed at the bottom of the letter.
